About the Role
Our client is currently looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a major data centre project in Slough.
This is a site-based position working closely with the project and site management teams to ensure high standards of health and safety are maintained throughout the project.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting site teams, monitoring compliance, carrying out inspections and promoting a strong positive safety culture across the project.
Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day Health & Safety support across the data centre project.

Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety observations.

Monitor compliance with RAMS and company H&S procedures.

Assist with the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements.

Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, engineers and subcontractors.

Identify hazards and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.

Assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations.

Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.

Monitor subcontractor compliance with site H&S requirements.

Maintain accurate H&S documentation and records.

Ensure compliance with relevant UK Health & Safety legislation and client requirements.

Support the project team in maintaining and improving H&S standards.
Requirements
-
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.

Previous experience within a construction environment.

Experience working on data centre, M&E, mechanical or building services projects would be highly advantageous.

Good knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.

Experience carrying out site inspections, audits and investigations.

Strong understanding of RAMS and construction safety procedures.

Confident communicating with site teams, subcontractors and senior management.

CSCS/appropriate H&S qualification or card.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Full UK driving licence advantageous.
